Learn all of the materials involved in sketching and drawing and also some basic shading techniques and sketching concepts.
In this video, I start off going through all of the materials you’re going to need for learning to sketch and draw. Once you have a better understanding of those, you can start drawing simple shapes and lines and practicing sketching with an HB, B, or 2B pencil. These are good pencils for sketching lightly but also allow you to go a little darker when needed for shading. I plan to cover perspective, values, edges, shading techniques, proportions, landscapes and many other topics of sketching and drawing for beginners and intermediate artists.

I love how this doesnt already assume I know everything about drawing and that I know how to draw. Its taking it step by step and explaining what kind of pencils or materials you need what different things mean and that its taking it slow. This is a really good tutorial and im using this for summer as I learn to draw 😀
Finally a good tutorial to help me start one of the things I always wanted to get good at, sketching and drawing. I thank you a lot for making it, even though im 7 years late to the party.
i personally think sketches are beautiful-
I'm a beginner this is helpful thank you
I’m here because I’ve watched DreamSMP animatics and now I want to be able to draw
i have nothing else to do so i wanted to learn how to draw as a hobby 😊thanks alot
Seeing this 2 years after starting praticing on my own drawing. I realiced i rushed myself and instantly went to draw human anatomy.
(I'd say i got to medium level in human anatomy but i could've probably learned faster if i went from the basics since start ._.😅)
When im drawing a tree where does the tree end?
My pencil is a 5C ???
dude ur amazing
My drawing set is a pencil I bought 5 years a go and a eraser that smells like grape and and piece of paper from our printer
Thank you so much. This is gonna help me a lot.
Thank you 🙏 This is one of the best learn to sketch videos I've seen!!
Thank you ! Im gonna try
I am a student and I don't have much time throughout my day but can I learn this by practicing 1 to 2 hours a day
I keep drawing a mini boss in a game I play and am gets good
thanks man
When you first started drawing, did you do these lessons naturally on your own? Or is this a guide you came up with to help ungifted idiots like to learn how to draw? It seems that my artistic friends (including my older brother) seemed to be able to naturally draw without any help from others. We didn't even have internet support back in the days for tutorials.
Do artists literally see what they are about to draw before they start drawing? If so, is it sort of like tracing a picture once they see the art they are about to make?
I like your drawing
I used to very skilled at drawing but my ability has grown dull over a long period of time where I couldn’t practice everyday due to schoolwork, I’m trying to get back into the swing of things
Watch this is if you want to learn how to draw in quarantine but don't know where to start
Now what if…..i only have a pencil and eraser…..will that work
This dude has ENTIRE COURSES explaining different art techniques for free :') I just graduated from an unfulfilling career path, so I'm gonna start here. Thank you for putting all your knowledge out to the world.
thank you🥺👏
日本語字幕ありがとうございます☺️
I'm here in preparation for next year since I'm taking art and well I can't draw a stick figure.
i like ur vid
from this to the end of summer ill be able to at least sketch my character from my stories
Should I follow a schedule for these "How to draw" lessons? Because I think I already did some things that you asked on the video and (even being bad), and I think I nailed some things (again, even being bad). So should I keep doing these for 1 week before going to the next lesson or should I go?
My sketches: https://imgur.com/gallery/XOiGybw (Even being bad I think it's best draw I did so far)
did you do all this as a beginner
This channel deserve 1 million subscribers….. Just great tutorial man…🙏🙏🙏
Can u use a normal pencil and paper like a school pencil and printer paper?
Thanks to much I have been trying to find a good video on how to start when I draw I just go for it with no steps so I stated looking for a video I I finally found on that you so much for givin* your time to teach
My teacher gave this to us for art!
Good job !
Anyone else noticing he is still liking and replying in 2021
Bruh opp
I drew a creppy shadowe figure as my first sketch seems real cool ima keep trying to keep doing art
I use HB PENCILS
This is honestly rlly helpful cause nobody does tutorials on how to actually start out. They're all like "practice, don't stick with one thing" this actually gives you guidelines on how to get up and going
You can just smell the stationary 👃
Thanks my brother gave me sketch book so i wanna learn how to sketch/draw
i already know how to draw a bit but a fresh start is allways good
